if flight tasted like moon, or sun, or sky
I would fly
but confined to being carried
flight tastes like bad airplane food
it’s all varying degrees of cardboard
paper airplanes pushing plastic blue
I would fly
but I need your hand to lift me
to feed me paper promises
so my feet no longer eat ground

A wondrous take on the prompt, my Friend. I especially liked your two ending lines. Good luck in Christina's contest, Sweetie.
