Anniversary

It started out with secret glances.
Late night phone calls and taking chances.

We both were willing to give up our worlds.
To be together...to seek out our forevers.

A question proposed.
The answer supposed.
In sunshine and prayer our vows were evoked.

Playing house of sorts
Never put us off course as we took our love to the next level.

Two little beings,
The product of our feelings,
Brought us closer together.

Once thought improbable,
Now fully possible our love blossomed and tethered.

Twelve years have now passed since we had our first glance and our lives shaped by our chances.
The world we gave up to seek our forevers has never been regretted.

From two unto four only made our love more and our bond ever cherished.

    welcome to allpoetry

This is truly a lovely write. It is nice to read such a positive and loving poem... about the ones who do make it.
I think this might flow a bit better if you would break up some of the longer lines, especially the second half.

Thank you for sharing your words and experiences with us all here. I hope you will keep writing.
