Pass the dead trees,
hear the bats,
scrunch of leaves,
and the sound of cats.
Open the door,
and in we go,
the spooky sounds
makes the wind all blow.
Pass the bedroom,
pass the hall,
the noises we hear,
we hope to run out of the door.
Pictures moving,
ghosts floating past,
the sound of clanking,
make us run out fast!
As we got out shivering,
we still ran,
we'll never go back in there,
never ever again!

I love this piece you have the right style that children can ready something that would make their spines shiver and goose bump tumble in shock. That is what a poet is meant to do.
I hope that this poem wins a contest don't give up hope.

It was a really good poem, and the rhymes were very well placed. It was quite descriptive and dark so well done.
Good luck,
Well done,
Thanks.

Good!
This is very good! Keep working and you'll stay excellent! I liked the effect your poem had! Feel free to read my poems too as I am your age. Remember to never give up!
