there are quick scrawls, he
a silence through
on cream paper black fly twizzles
ink of an ancient madder seeps down
the parlour sunlit, titan star bows its gorgon eye
through tangerine skim
dolphin in the sea beyond so near roll
how the pond gazes at night but its sparkling fish myriad cruise
witless, continual and the Spanish Dancer so deep in the sea sways
like mountains in morning and rain on night tides
Mango curls naked pressing in, sleeps, her
hair through deep space glides
pillows are vast
the down of geese has destiny like cotton
and linen and ink
where he walks
the beach smoothes away
but O my lord there shall be this night
the moon serenaded again like wild wrens

I agree with everything said hereunder. I find your poetry bountiful, for lack of a better word. Lavish if you will. You don't offer a few simple, apparently well thought out/structured words, but it's almost as if the poem says: here ya go, have a swim in this; and don't forget sunscreen because you may find you want to stay awhile!

Yeah, not sure if I'm getting my point across. Basically, freaking awesome

Wonderful, fluid, deep writing. I read it through twice and was even more impressed on my second reading. A joy to read!

Jeepers. Yeahhh, what simone said. And then some.
This is such a sultry, deeply-moving piece, overflowing with the realistic sensuality that we adults know exists...not the tripe we are forced to endure sometimes on this site in the name of so-called poetry.
You should teach lessons on the subject. Truly. This is an amazing poetic endeavor, laden with such great imagery & finesse of language skills. Good luck in Carol's contest.

I don't know if I've encountered another living poet as passionate and wildly eloquent as you... truly. This poem literally breathes vital, life sustaining showers of giddy stars...that linger, bursting, flicking the ear.
Perhaps I should go lie down for a bit as the world around me now seems lightheaded and insubstantial compared to the reality of this pen.
Beautiful, joyous poem, D...
