To call another "friend" is so easily said,
claiming a "friendship" is so easily done,
but there is more to those two words
than just saying it and doing it,
as more people are betrayed by those they love,
than by their enemies they learn to know well...

I know this feeling so well! For years I wandered aimlessly, and it wasn't until four years ago that I finally met not just my best friend, but my soul mate. It wasn't until I felt it like a ton of bricks that I realized that I had discovered that one person we all hope to find in life. We share so many things, almost a freaky experience, but there are differences, subtle and some not so subtle, where we fit just right. It only grows stronger with time, too. This had me nodding my head the entire time, whole-heartedly agreeing with each placed word. Beautiful! (Sometimes I think there's nothing more beautiful than that friendship you share with another.)
