Ready to leave this world behind;

This world that has taught me hard lessons
and soft lessons.
This world that has shown me love
and the ways of the world.
This world that has given me so much to live for,

And I'm so ready just to leave it all behind in the name of Adventure.

I don't feel any contempt for my current station in life,
I don't feel like life here has been at all unfair to me,
Or that this is a bad way to live,
But I want so much more!

I want to chase the sunset,
I want to skip off in the name of adventures I couldn't dream up,
I want to run away and find you waiting to paint the town red with me.
I want to live a different life I can't find here.

I want to live the kind of life that feels like the epic books of the masters of Literature!

I don't feel like the same person I set out to be,
But I know who I am when I'm any place but here.
It's visible in my eyes when I'm allowed to venture forth,
My soul is more alive.
