Not enough,
To let go.
Not too little,
That you don’t feel it.
Why did it happen?
Because we didn’t try.
What went wrong?
I don’t know.
So we’re left in the afterglow,
Of all the mistakes,
Lies and false pretences,
Surrounded by the loss,
Of what we once had.
Nothing left,
But the things that tore us apart.

Wow! I like it too. The heartache of losing someone is so great at times that it can rip a person apart and take away everything that makes them who they are. You did an astounding job at putting the feelings into words. I'm sorry if this happened to you. I can tell you that things will get better as they have for me when I've gone through something like this. You did an excellent job with this. Keep up the excellent work. God bless you always in all that you do and write and best of luck to you in the contest.

I like it! Sweet, short, to the point...which kinda stabs you a little as you read.
