Remeniscing the days when you were a child,
When the smile on your face never seemed to fade.
Before the harsh world began to mark its course on your delicate features,
Unknowing the struggle that was yet to come.
Looking back, a carefree world seems so distant,
Yet not completely vanished from our memories.
The meaning of life was far less complex,
As we chased the dreams we used to have.
Our sight of the earth was impaired,
Blinded by the words "Once Upon a Time."
Taken aback by the growing fairytale we thought was life,
Although life itself could never compare.
Myths and legends clouded our minds,
Trapping us in a world of fantasy.
What you would give to be young again,
A sacrifice worth making.
