After all, we don't just suffer our pain

The coldest heart breaks
at the sight of a loved one suffering
and your words aren't enough to tell them how much you care
suddenly your body can't hold up anything but yourself
and then it hurts more to see your loved one on there own
'cause you can't be there.

A little too late you realized what you had and lost
because a little to early you decided to let go
and even if your intentions always were the best
ignorance always takes it toll

when you get caught up in your own life
leaving the importance of others in a blur
it becomes much more difficult to explain how much you love them
and how you'll always be there
when you never were...

It's impossible to reach out physically
because the walls are in the way
and even if you tried by heart
there were many limited ways.

And it is in this time
that we understand the importance of appreciation
because wanting something back only after it has slipped away
only brings remorse at the end of the day.

People expect a lot from others
it will always be that way and you musn't worry
but when you don't meet down to your own expectations
then it becomes a personal battle
and those my friend, are the ones to fear.
