This vast gray abyss
It gives off a hazy azure
The sun beams down it's fervent kiss
Which only adds to it's allure
What a wondrous creation!
A calm envelops me
As I slip into a deep meditation
Just watching this magical dancing sea
Author notes
I live on the beach as well, so for this contest all I had to do is take a walk down the street.
I have always associated the sea with a peaceful calm (except during spring break). It's always been a muse to me.

There haven't been many rhyming poems in this contest so this one is interesting. I like the flow in general but a few lines, for example the last one are perhaps a little too long to fit in. However I like the fact there are longer and shorter lines to create that ebb and flow like the tide. Some lovely images here, well done.
