The flame detached from it's origin
It no longer burned for me
I was but a cinder
Left behind in the ashes
Of an unburning leftover of love
Though still bright and hot
I could no longer feel the heat
The inferno once in a hearth for my heart
Now colorfully sparkles
Reflecting from someone elses eyes
Leaving me cold, in the dark
Yearning for the warmth and light of it's glow.

Your imagery is stunning. You took the prompt and ran with it. I love how you made the flame your metaphor. Sad but quite beautiful!
Much Love ♥

I loved how you used the flame in the image to symbolise love and the emotion in a relationship. Thanks for entering.

Fabulous imagery, the cold and hot contrast is very effective for the emotions here.
