when all was good and all was kind
when everyone could speak their mind
when right was right and wrong was wrong
when happy children sang their song
when day was bright and night was dark
when you wouldn't be arrested for a remark
when the world was colorful and never bored
when people had something to work toward
when people were free to be who they want
when lives didn't have to be in the same font
