Back in that place again
the one I thought i'd left
That place of darkness...
of emptiness
It swallowed me
entangled me in tantalizing threads
promising release
while slowly pulling me apart
that place
that place you freed me from
you severed the threads that held me
that threatened me
you saved me from that place
As I took my first step
Away from that place
I thought it was over
I thought i was free
But I stepped back
one too many times
and now
I'm back
Back in that place
that place i thought I'd left
that place where i hear them whisper
sweet sounds of release
where I feel them pulling
pulling me apart
all while I wish
I pray
I beg
for my freedom
for my final release
