we settled down for the night
hiding from the startling eyes of constellations
inside our seperated tents, eyes wide open
at the air between us, wondering why
it wasn't on fire
we had spent the day traveling under
and almost unbearable early summer sun
the music of our voices blending into nature
and our eyes devouring the earth
i saw a question forming in your mind
staring at you in the neon glow of
an electic lantern, i wondered about
the texture of your lips and remembered
the feel of your skin
and in my heart, i found your answer

take it as you will, but i like a good sweaty outdoorsman.

This, I adore. It has the soft romance mingled with real life scenes that anyone can relat to. It is abstract enough to let the mind fill in the blanks and solid enough to weave your intentions strongly. Excllent.
