Good Old Days

Playing in the golden sand
Warm texture in between my fingers
The smell of the roses near by the maple tree
Running to mom yelling we’re rich
She’d laugh to that
I miss those good old days

I miss the good old days
When my dreams could soar freely
Like a black stallion galloping with the Cherokee
Instead of studying for the terrifying SATs

The years when fun was everything
Play football on a grassy plain
Rather than worry
‘bout the unpredictable fashion trends

I especially miss the family days
Before everything got complicated
When Christmas really did seem magical to me
When we could sit by the sweet smelling evergreen tree
And laugh happily
With no trace of pain left behind it

I miss those good old days
When everything seemed okay

What did you think
