I Don't Know What To Say

I spit powerful lies at your worried eyes
Holding my own, smiling in vain

Yet your reply leaves breathless
Renders me speechless and lost
Throwing me into a pit of despair
As I gasp for a hint of love

Your pounding footsteps leave me
Chained to the floor with guilt
Bruised with long overdue regrets

You didn't let me down
I let myself fall
I'm watching and waiting
Hoping I'm dreaming this all.
