Comfort

And I too will comfort you -
Be it brief,
Console you as I can do,
With a blanket, a handkerchief
A rare flower or two.

-Let us think no more of sadness then,
Since the end is near,
Since I am watching the sunlight this day, reappear
Adorn you in its own way.

You yourself are searching,
For something strangely beautiful to say.

Congrats on the HM. Have to go to a funeral today, an old friends wife died...
Wrote some haiku last night, listening to Cold Play. If was personally rewarding; don't know if the stuff was any good though...

  • A subtle sadness, yet beautiful in it's expression. Very touching indeed.

I did it. I birthed it during today's thunderstorm. Over at deercatcher, Lachrymal
This is absolutely transcendent; and a perfect joy to read.

It leaves me wondering to what the poem refers...end of a relationship? a life? A time that can never return? Whatever the actual reference, it is quite charming in its sense of beauty and new beginning.
