Hi Saphire
I normally dont write letters, i much prefer Rhyme. But when I read your contest, I felt I had to answer. I'm 28 and come from a large family, My sister and my niece both show signs of Bipolar, although they are not diagnosed, myself, I have aspergers (A kind of Autism), and throughout the family there are others with ADHD, OCD, Depression etc.
Before I was diagnosed with Aspergers, I spent 2 and a half years in prison, I was diagnosed in there, and looking back the crimes I committed where all linked somewhat to my lack of understanding in socila situations due to aspergers. So you can imagine I was a little annoyed that it hadn't been picked up sooner.
However I have sorted my life out now and I work as a counsellor for people with autism. I live in Durham, UK, I too was born and raised here, I want to move down the road to Sunderland where I work now. Because despite my past, i am well accepted there and have a good repuation as someone willing to speak out about thier issues.
I also have a lot of sensory issues, Im hyper sensitive to sound, light, and hate places like disco's etc. As well as that I have weak ankles and spend time on and off crutches or set in plaster.
My interests are a bit strange, By night I am a paranormal investigator, I go out to dark places and look for ghosts, this can be a bit dangerous too, expecially when Im on crutches. I also love writing poetry, reading, fishing (I know its a sad old mans hobby, but there's nothing like just sitting by the sea)
You say you have 3 totems, I'd like to know more. I have read some of your poetry and its deep, and full of emotions, sod the contest, do you want a pen-pal, we may have a lot more in common than you would think.
Head - Feck (Nah, that aint my real name, just my state of being, Message me to find out more)

I would like to tell you more of my totems. You can look up totems online and learn what they mean. But to find your particular totem you either have to dream of a certain animal, bug, or something constantly or have a shaman find it for you. I have a shaman that told me what to look for and I found them. They are now my strength, wisdom, and courage. Please feel free to contact me after the contest and I will gladly talk with you. And thank you for such an honest letter
