Surmise

Adventure
sensation one conjures
realization capitalized
beyond each door a surprise
to enter upon or merely surmise

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Author notes
Wonder
Illusion
conception of the mind
contradiction to the eyes
reality gone asunder
cause for wonder
Ponder
Perception
the creation of the surreal
manipulation of lines
to infinity or just off yonder
distance to ponder
    i like the freedom expressed in this thought - "beyond each door a surprise to enter upon or merely surmise" to me it evokes a relaxed state of reflecting on what comes and with consideration taking it in or not.
    nicely written.
      The luxury of years--
      after having to walk thru
      many doors and adjust
      to circumstances
      I like to imagine now
      the options as a gift.
      (Art teachers often have careers
      that require traveling between schools,
      teaching in hallways, from closets,
      in others' classrooms as well as
      a classroom of one's own.
      All those doorways!!!)
      I enjoyed your response!
    Really I love the abstract feeling your writings give. Very artistic in the order in which you arrange and work with the images presented.
      Jayde, thank you for the "wow!"
      As I contemplated how to make
      the rushing water, the style of
      the waves seemed to decide itself
      as the pen ran over the paper.
      Looking back at this, jus the other
      day I had thought of how that section
      of the drawing remeinded me
      of a silk painting, oriental.
      And there, you saw that, too!!!
    This piece leads my thoughts to game show doors like on "Let's Make A Deal" where you risk your "bird in the hand" for the unknown which could be a mule or that brand new car. Regardless of the outcome, there is still the sense of adventure and resulting adrenaline surge which heightens the senses.
    I'm enjoying the progression of this series.
      Ha! Dealing doors---
      chancing sun or flame,
      rain clouds or darkness--
      Right, the unexpected
      making the heart pound--
      oh, that was my problem--
      I should imagine tamer
      adventures!!!
      This is on the way to being one piece
      with all the other segments
      the "beginning" or "ending" still to
      come to life.
      Ah, the adrenaline again!!!
      Thanks, pix!!!!!
    Looks good, I like the graphics there is that sense of wonder there, of not knowing exactly what is around the corner, maybe knowing a portion, but not all.
    I'm all for surprises, just lets let them be good ones.
      Yes, I'd like advance radar
      to seek out only the good,
      to make all surprises pleasant.
      Perhaps it's all in the perception!!
    I like how you draw the lines. Words that match the graphics, graphics that match thoughts...
    Nicely done M
      Heeeeeeeyyyy!
      Good to see you here!
      This is the second time around---
      didn't like the drawing I posted
      yesterday---so back to the
      drawing pad!!!
      I wanted to get those
      intriguing doorways in---
      to prompt the imagination.
      On a roll with perspective...
    I don't know how adrenaline works but we all seem to seek in in some way or another. That's the adventure part. Whether bungie jumping, risking life as a Soldier of Fortune, a highly anticipated romantic encounter, or a great sale on bok choy at Sam's Club. We all have our level of adventure that stirs our juices...Yem says very unpoetic-like.
    They graphics fit the poem perfectly.
