I wanted to be someone better
but I'll keep to the shadows
now.
I'm sorry.
There is a space
with beauty and sunlight
and the smell of warn summer asphalt.
Under the birches
on the green green lawn
sleeps the shepherd
and the giggles rise
like soap bubbles
and burst like dreams
while the sprinklers run and run.
I think slow and sad with
In a Sentimental Mood
filling the room and you
languishing on the grass in my dream.

Really nice word combination. Perhaps drop the last "s" off "rises" Good luck in the contest.
