Bless Our Land

An angel from heaven willing descends down to earth
To roam in a serene field of flowers
The wings of the ethereal creature creates a refreshing wind
That rustles through nature
With eyes like fire, it gazes around to behold our torn, tattered world
Sadness overcomes the angelic beauty
Tears dissolve the heat it once felt
The sands of its time were finally up
A world unknown to me beckoned it now
Before it went, it would reach out its hand
Close its eyes, smile, and bless our fallen land
