Dear lord may your love shine upon Africa to day
As the young children cry from empty bellies
May you always listen to their cries
When on their knees they pray.
My you be the father of the fatherless boy
And a source of encouragement to the motherless’ girl
As you bless you poor, remember the older ones
As they strive to keep alive.
Give them strength to resist the temptation
And courage to resist the tribulation
As this world of pain come to it conclusion.
