Dare she ride the pale moonlight,
on his ghostly steed
Has he finally shown himself,
of all those wicked deeds
To steal this maiden in the night,
taken to his lair
An evil act of vengeance sought,
or does he really care
Is this man a monster,
or protector of the night
Does he ride of tortured heart,
to give poor souls a fright
No one chases, no one dare,
left out there on her own
This king of darkness rules the night,
blackness is his throne
Does the morning find her free,
or is she bound in chains
Will she try to run away,
or does her heart remain

Nice title. A good write and take on the picture prompt. Good rhyme and tone. Nice flow, tone and depth of feeling. Thank you for your entry.
