Although it has been very hard
to believe that you are so very far
I have to admit I've learned so much about our love.
No matter how many miles away
in my heart you will always stay
because your love is pure as a dove.
This summer is the hardest of my life
but it's the one that's teaching me the most.
I've grown up so much since you've been gone,
and in my life, you've become a ghost.
When you come home
I will know
that you have bettered our life.
