I just barley remember when the flowers had color
I do recall that you loved to breathe their scent
And you would say something about their beauty
I would agree and smile like I knew what you meant
There was that night you told me you loved me
And that the moon was dyed a blood red
I told you that love is just a perception
And my perceptions have long been lying dead
You cried but told me that it would be okay
Because after rain you can see a rainbow
I told her or the seasons could just change
And we could see hail and sleet and snow
You knew you were slowly loosing me
Like a wicked star that has to fall
And I would welcome all the darkness
All the colors fading once and for all
Oh, I know you wanted to fix me
And I apologize for ruining your plans
But sometimes the darkness inside conquers
It was a task too big for your little hands
She told me she would miss my hazel eyes
My brown hair and my presence at night
I asked if she knew that black is not a color
It’s a word we use for the total absence of light
Author notes
no colors anymore i want them to turn blackk
