The Haiku Of The Last Day

It's been a long road
Being with the night to morn;
Dawn cross sky explodes!

I sit here alone
Hear no more whispers around
As morn takes sky's throne!

Mournful cry cross breeze
Perks my ears to it's sorrow,
Brought my heart to knee!

There she weeps and keens
As she shudders out her tears
Yet with such serene

I walked to befriend,
To place myself by her side,
Be a silent friend

She covered her eyes
But her shuddering decreased,
Her chin slowly rise

Such beautiful face
Yet deep shadows shades her eyes;
Cancer left it's trace...

She saw upon me
Thinking I just see cancer
So she spoke with plea

"The doctors told me
That I only have a day
Left alive to be"

"I lost all my worth,
No family and no friends,
Just alone, on Earth"

"I'm only nineteen,
I haven't had my first kiss,
Nor be love's own queen."

"So I gathered all
Of all what I have left to live,
Flee and here I fall..."

I wiped off a tear,
As she blinks eyes of sapphire
And the sun appears!

"I don't see cancer,
I see a beautiful lass,
I see a dancer"

I picked up her hand
And slowly pulled her up sweet
Held close till she stands

As the morning light
Graces our friendly embrace
Her eyes held delight

"Ma'am beautiful lass,
If this day to be your all,
Then too be my last"

"You want to be queen
Then I shall but love you so!
How you dance serene!"

Her sapphire eyes glazes
She whispers, "kiss me tender...true"
As heart still and stays

My lips kissed her deep
As she sighs one final time
To forever sleep

Her arms fell from me
As I placed her upon ground,
I upon my knees

Morning rays shined warm
Upon her and my own tears
And my day transformed...

Thank you, ma'am. My grandma died from cancer so in ways, she was my inspiration along with all the people who has lost their lives to cancer.

It's the least I can do to honor her and all the cancer victims.
