The Philosophy

Being in love is not a feeling
It’s not a sight, or an idea
But, rather, a state of being

To be in love doesn’t contain emotion
At least, that certain one we hear about

It may go unrecognized to some
As it feels like second nature

It’s not about swooning
About proving it to the world
Simply, about nurturing a bond
One that two people make with trust

When no matter the pain the day brings
A smile can always form

When kindness turns into repetition
Not expecting a response

Unlike love itself, it’s not about happiness
Rather, about growing; about strength

Being in love offers stability
Feeling hope while one’s away
Offering the courage
To be all that one is capable of

A simple piece of knowledge at the day’s end
That tomorrow brings a new dream
Offering that idea to one
That there are no risks
Tomorrow is a new beginning
That knowledge grows with seconds

It doesn’t focus on the pain from the past
Yet, offers brightness in the ‘morrow

Being in love knows not of judgment
For there are no rights or wrongs

Simple actions here and there
Prove what words know nothing of

Knowing not of first or last
As everyone has a place
A sanctuary, if you will

Divinity lies in no one being
Rather, in any one who choose it

Being in love is to know the world
Needing not to see it

Simply holding a marvel of peace
Although it may go unnoticed

Great things happen all at once
