You sit on a soft bed of heather. There is a merry stream in front of you where the water trickles around rocks and tiny fish swim. The water is cool to the touch and you run your hand through it letting the water and fish weave through your fingers.
The trees stand tall and are lush green with leaves. The sun filters through the trees, golden with the warm afternoon, the rays showing green through the leaves.
You breathe in the deep earthy smell of the deep woods. The air is filled with the scents of heather, pine and honeysuckle.
You lie back on the heather and listen to the stillness of the forest where there are no cars, no pollution, and no other people. All is still except for the occasional squire or bird. It is so quiet and so peaceful that you feel as if you can hear the trees growing.
You breathe deeply and lay as quiet as you can listen to the silence and peace around you. Soft heather as your bed, the golden afternoon sun keeping you warm as well as any blanket. Here there is no pain, no trouble, and no stress. Slowly, softly, quietly, you drift off to sleep. Safe from the rest of the world. Safe from your own troubles. You breathe deeply in sleep, while the trees stand tall protecting you from all

It's a beautiful sanctuary. One small crituque though, you reminded me of pollution and trouble and stress in the poem, why mention them at all?
I love the message though and your poem's a place of meditation.
Peace Georgia
