Bout-O' bacteria

This infection
may well be regarded
as an affliction.
What then to do? Coin
a portmanteau, and to
this month-long pain &
sedentary stiffness say
I dub thee my inflection.

god your poems just about rip my poor mind apart trying to figure out the meaning in even the shortest of them, lol. i think i understand this one, though ive never heard the word portmanteau used that way. i had only ever seen the word used when describing luggage. funny thing that.

my little one is sick today, so this was perfect for the evening. i do love the humor in this, it made me smile. "i dub thee my inflection" had me looking up the definition of inflection. once again, a very cool use of words.

I enjoyed the imagery of the portmanteau, remembered from long ago. Interesting thought, compartmentalizing one's afflictions on the other side of the hinges, attached and yet separated from one's thoughts and evaluations.
