swirled in glass scoop and cup
champagne sorbet and ice-tea
lazy laughter in azure eyes
ocean hush on postcard hearts
cucumber chill

but you are not here

aromatic dill with its bitter heart
throws fine hardanger
art on curtains and on garden walls

softly another day departs
twilight thoughts of you
time woven by tears and cloth


and warm memories of you
