I thought I knew what would be best for me
I lived my life thinking I had complete control
thinking that if I just did it my way, I would be a queen
I thought everything would be better if I had a big house
if I had two cars in the garage and a lot of money
I thought this was what it would take to make me happy
I had a hard time being true to myself and others
lying to get ahead in this life
not caring who I hurt along the way
One day I realized how miserable I was
because I ignored You and your teachings
You came back into my life like a gentle breeze
when I was burning in the fire of my life
You quenched my thirst in a way no other could
You showed me patience and love
You showed me gentleness and compassion
You showed me that You knew what I needed
You knew what I needed and You gave it to me

We tend to forget HIM and dive into a materlistic
world thinking that is happiness, but HE knows how
to carry & console us when we realize the truth..a
touching write.
