In life’s storm at sea,
What is it, God –
That you wish of me?
Am I’m being led
Past these rocky shores,
Way out to sea, Lord
Past hostile moors?
Is my faith being tested,
Do you have a plan for me
In this capsizing boat,
In the middle of the sea?
All I can do now
Is hang on with hope,
And a sincere prayer
You’ll help me to cope.
From my soul's distress,
Won't you deliver me?
Please listen to my prayer,
O' Lord, hear my plea!

The dark night of the soul beautifully expressed in just a few lines and it captures not only the mood of the soul but also the expressiveness of the painting.
A thought though: your "lead" should, I think, read "led"

WONDERFUL EXPRESSION!!!!
Fantastic thoughts to this pic! I believe each of us has our own tests in life, our own trials and battles we must fight. Our individual strength is from a source we cannot comprehend but do feel someone is watching over us and reaching down to lift us up so we can continue on.

I always like to read your comments on my work, they are so rich with verbal acumen. What other choices are there in life, other than to walk on the water with the lord or join Jonah in the whale" ? Thanks again & ake care!!
