I know not whether it's wrong or right,
nor if I could go through with it,
my mind speaks one form of truth, but
it duels with my ever beating heart.
Can my heart, already pledged to him,
allow the mind and body to roam?
Will these two sisters, once hand in hand
go their separate ways, abandoning me.
Is it a sign of strength and courage,
a sign I'm moving on, a silent flow?
Or is it weakness, a selling of one's self
to those who I know are not worthy?
I have no answers, follow no path
but in the end, I will fill the chasm within
throw myself in another's longing arms
my eyes with him, but my heart beating for another.
