the song of feathered wing

birds sing to speak; they must be heard
among hustle and bustle of human life -- they twitter and tweet
they have not words to tell us the wonders of nature
they have humanity's neglected song.

Author notes

prompt: why do birds sing?
love?
compulsion?

    a lovely poem

    It all ties together beautifully.

I think the last line tilted this poem a little.
I love the buildup, but then...a stab in the heart.
Birds have always intrigued me, and I think you've got a really valid point inside of this.
    Love,
    jin
