White Horse

Once upon a time
I felt adored it was nice.
I was a maiden soon
to give my heart away.
In the moment of love
I was a princess at last.
I became close to him
sweep off my feet- happy!
Upon a white horse and
carried away to a castle.
In my mind of what I
believed was all mine.
My once upon a time
could not last- forever.
Being in love that high
sadly can't always last.
The moment where love is
all wonderful and blissful.
If only things could be
perfect once more in time.

Oh my..... I know this dream, too, but love is so many lessons to teach us that love is what makes us whole within ourselves. Sometimes love wears many different faces and knows the touch of many hearts, where we reflect in each one of them. And you know, where you reflect in another's face and heart is part of what they become, too.

I've a friend who tells me that the heart is the seat of love...like a throne, or the bench of authority. Eyes are windows to the soul, and they have a spiritual faculty of seeing eternity. Ears are for discernment, taste is about choice, and touch... well, touch is the texture of sharing. Being in a blissful state, you are right, does not always last, but the love which molds and perfects us, and gives us a touch to share, is wherever and whenever our hearts are open to it.

I love your heart, Sherry. It's like forget-me-knots and daisies.

  • You have good friends...

...and they are wise. This was never meant to be a fairy tale, what you have written. Life was never meant to be so stressful within our mind, heart and body. Love needs a special place to grow- and as I see the planet, it is amazing it survives at all. What Myra says is true. We cannot grasp love perfectly, because NOTHING BUT God and his presence and domain is perfect. Ever wonder why we call Him Father?

I adore you, and I am sorry I have let you down. I make no excuses for myself- because I too once believed in love so pure. I still believe...but I also believe it must have a sanctuary of something greater than two- to hold it together.

    Very precious work.

Love should last forever, not so, Sherry?

But yes ... it is not Love that does not last, it is humanity that cannot grasp it perfectly! You are so sincere in everything you write -- straight from the heart! Thank you so much for the gift of you.

    Love
    Myra
