So Mister Mister Man
Heard my song at last,
I danced and let you watch
Eyes closed-
You took my hand and a chance.
I sang all night of made up things,
Of worlds half made
Of love.
You listened to my hero's woes,
You laughed at secrets no one knows,
You let me have my way with you,
Do all the things I wanted to...
And I feel free of skin and teeth,
Of bones and broken pieces,
I am not what you once knew of me,
Your surprise is a victory
I'll cherish.
Then you whisper,
At my back, raining kisses
All brand new,
That you thought I had faded
With each heartbreak,
That you thought we were lost
To regret.
And I know who I am
For the first time since forever,
And I love you,
Like I never could before.

A different sort of romantic write... extremely romantical and well concieved poem here, and masterfully executed. You have placed marvelous "lulls" in this poem then broken out of them wonderful and lyrical lines... a great write!!

Emma I take it that this is a follow on piece to "Unsung"? A beautiful answering poem So different in every aspect to "Unsung" that it make me look a fool to have made the comment i did on that one
Assuming that all was not right with your life
Excellent
