Dad's

Dad's come from a special kind of breed,
they listen and help with what ever you need.
They are always there for you whether there is trouble or not,
they try to help you out when you are in a tight spot.
A dad always seems to be there to catch you when you stumble and fall,
there to lend a helping hand, or to just enjoy a good game of football.
A dad will always listen when ever you are in doubt,
or to help you to understand what life is all about.
A dad is someone who is strong in his unique kind of way,
he knows how to be tough but gentle when he has something to say.
Dad's are the kind of people that are willing to walk that preverable country mile,
just to have the honor of walking his beautiful daughter down the asile.
A dad is the kind of person that will help you work on your cars,
or just to keep you company at night around a campfire under the stars.
Happy Father's Day Dad I love you with all my heart,
my love will forever be with you even though we are apart.

This is something I wrote for my Dad back in 2001 for Father's Day and I came across it as I was looking thru some of the papers I still have from after him and my mother both passed away. My mother kept this in a folder along with some other poems I had wrote and sent to them . I came across it and thought I should put it on here anyway, to show my apprication for all the father's that I know as well as ones that I dont know . my Dad was a very special part of my life, even though we didn't always see eye to eye on some things. But he was always there when I needed him for a shoulder to cry on or just a hug or some advice......
SO for all you Dad's out here that I know as well as the ones I dont I now decicate this to you..... and for those of you who dont relize just how inportant your father is in your life or dont think your dad cares.... think again. It's never to late to tell them I love you Dad or to say how much they mean to you because someday you wont be able to tell them... and then it's to late. I miss my dad very much and I will forever hold him in my heart.
