The Road

One day I was walking
Down a long and winding road
I couldnt see ahead of me
But behind me there was snow
I tried to turn myself around
But something made me think
If I tried to turn back now
What would happen to me
So I kept on walking forward
With beauty in my past
Something kept on telling me
That the beauty would not last
I started feeling sick
I didnt want to move
But in the dark I saw an angel
And the angel I saw was you
I thought if I could catch you
That you would help me out
But you told me that you hated me
And nailed me to the ground
I spent 6 long years there
In which you only told me lies
I believed all of them
But I still dont know why
Then an angel came
And broke my chains
And then it began to snow
And ever since
My life was spent
With the one I came to know
