He lies upon the floor
Broken, bleeding
Life's toy no longer wanted
Discarded, wasted
I had watched as it happened
Heard the screams, the pleas
Forgiveness not forthcoming
I watched as the great BETRAYAL
Commenced
Again
I can feel his flesh tear
Agonizing, demoralizing
Releasing life fluids
In splatters
Painting walls crimson
How the pain flashed
How the blood flowed
The lash striking repeatedly
Thin arms impotent protection
Angry words rippinng at the
Heart, mind, soul
His words of innocence
Towards deaf ears
Closed mind
Stone heart
His cries for forgiveness
Of uncommitted crimes
Lost forever
To the sounds of the lash
Cries for help falling
Tumbling
Fading
No Angel with sword of fire
No rescue
No hope
No tears flowed for him
Except mine
How I wish I could save him
Pluck him from the horror
Soothe his wounds
Yet, I could not
For I, too, was impotent
And another tear follows
All the millions
Which have fallen
As I wake from another nightmare
Of the child that was me

would be so simple if we could erase the pains in past with one fluid motion
Wonderfully penned
Roses to you

That was so sad and written very well.
