In light,
Enlightened eyes see
Eyesores and I soar
Over Interstates and
Enter states of
Peacekeeping,
Tethered to a piece
Keeping me low
So I can offer hope
When they hope to off her.
She smiles wanly,
Wanting to be me-
Beaming, alive
A live thing,
She can see
Over sea, me
The bird, the plane,
The plain sky.
She and I strive for
Survival, to
Survive all.
Through the ages,
She ages, and in Fall
I fall, for finally Eve rests
And I take my final leave
And rest.
