My calling is neither
Here nor there
There is no fence line
In my dreams
The grass is neither
Greener on this side
Or yonder
I never look forward
I only look
At where my feet are
The grass here
Is green

What could one say that thou has not spoken in reverence of the place where our feet are firmly planted, we seek and we roam yet always there is that place, the one that we seldom do see for it is right beneath the soles of our very feet.
I so wish to find one day that the grass is greener right there where I stand for I am but a leaf blown by the eternal cool autumn wind.
I am moved by this precious yet simple poem you have so gracefully shared.
I like it, I like it so!

Your words always ring with a note of truth. How do you do it? It would definately make life alot easier to not look to the other side of the fence. It would also be alot nicer if all the fences were torn down.

Live in the moment. A most succinct, pithy and potent write. Sparse, but highly effective! I loved it a ton!

Beautiful, truthful piece...Happiness is around us and within ourselves, yet we often look for it elsewhere, sadly...Excellent job

so very true. always take things day by day, you know where you have been, but you dnt know for certain where you are going.

Destiny is always the backyard when you are content with where you are, this speaks of a woman happy and peaceful with life in her place. Would that I too could find that grass
