Ever feel the need to be alone?
to hear only silence within your heart,
No need to speak for their is No One.
No one to speak, to answer to.
No two to let through a doorway.
No three to step aside on the stairwell.
No four and five to avoid in an argument.
No waiting for the bathroom
or wishing the music was not so loud.
To sleep in a room without snoring,
or the inevitable shouting.
Every person different,
tall, short, blond and brunette
with blue eyes and brown,
all with blood in common.
And not much Else.
The shouting of the old and the new.
The long and short of every argument
chewed and churned over and over again.
All crushed into this house
voices raised in accusation and defence
louder and louder.
till into dreams they creep.
Planting within the mind,
growing louder and louder.
Ever feel the need to be alone?

well iv not writen anything in a wile and so thought to do one and this came easily, basicly im living in a house with 12 other people all are my family and no one seems to be able to get along and i cant seem to get away from arguments or have any time alone, i need people to give me their opinion on the poem since iv not writen in a wile

I agree,
I know how horrible it can be with so many people in one house and nothing is ever quiet. I had 7 siblings, plus my mom, her bf and my grandma and two cousins at the time and who ever else crashed there at several different times in my life, and it is quite impossible to be alone or to find a quiet place where you can just think. Great job capturing that emotion. Great write, and thanks for sharing.

this has a very cute feel, but passionate feel to it the power of being alone. Alone with your own heart racing, alone with your own silly laughter and thoughts. Alone with HOW YOU FEEL. -
