Dear -----,
I bet you don't understand how difficult it is containing an elephant without an electric fence. At the first few shocks, the twelve foot, twelve thousand pound thunder becomes classically conditioned to associate the fence with pain and thus, avoids it altogether. But without power, there might as well not be a fence at all. To roam freely through foreign lands is dangerous as containment is protection from the majestic world of the unknown.
My mind, you see, is this poorly managed zoo of blasphemous optimism. Most keepers are asleep on the job if not mesmerized by the established order of unnatural nature within.
I don't want my thoughts to escape, leading to you..
Caitlin
