Tate said something the other day while we were swimming that just struck me as profound, especially coming from a 16 year old, and I wanted to get it down before I forget it... some day I will remind him of it when he is all grown up. He said, "Words are invisible until you write them down."
That simple sentence took my mind to a million places.

he said something very meaningful. i hope your write more about what it means to you and one day when you do tell him he can look back and relfect on what he said for himself. i also do agree with him. its like saying , prove it with your actions. he just said it more in poet form.

That deserves a poem or two, I'd say. Maybe a contest.
I hope you remind him one day, it shouldn't be forgotten.

beauty unscathed
things of the heart are only seen by those who search between the lines. I believe your own words have been made visable to your son because that heart which is dipped in pain's inkwell and chooses to share it's deepest hurts so as to touch another life not by the blotch of bitterness's but the indelible mark of suffering's scar - your words - a rich heritage an inhertence to your children and the proof is in the proverbial pudding.....your son's most profound quote!

Very well-stated for a young man! Excellent idea to write it down... And yes, this seemingly "simple" sentence is NOT so simple at all.
