Dain Bramage/Eclipse

The Lunatic has gone and went.

the lunatic has gone and went.

the darkened sky, the golden chain

tell us all about the man who went insane.

the ruby slippers, and yellow bricks

the wizard showed us all his magic tricks..

And if the wolf cries murder in the street

you don't know everyone you meet.

And if the sunny skie decides to blow at noon

"I'll see you on the dark side of the moon"

The Lunatic is laughing, why?

the lunatic is laughing, why?

He lost his mind, so they say..

to a girl who walks beside him every day..

she took him in, broke his heart..

left him w/ no place else to start...

And if you listen, to the pouring rain..

you'll hear of the man who went insane..

and if the thunders rollin on you hear it boom,

ill catch you all in the mothers' womb.

{SPOKEN} " Im certain that, what we do doesn't define who we are, but we don't do that defines what we aren't"

Every Day, and every night, every joy, and every fight. and every time, and song, and every window, and every gong, and every crack, and sound, and every tack, and every hound under the stars will roll by

but why is the does the moon eclipse the sky?

What did you think

This keeps me wondering and the mind racing. It lets me explore my mind and ponder what it could mean to me. Thank you for letting me have the pleasure of reading this.

  • I love this. I'm friends with Nicky [She told me to read your stuff]. And I just have to say that this is amazing. My favorite lines are:

The Lunatic has gone and went.
The Lunatic has gone and went.
The darkened sky, the golden chain,
Tell us all about the man who went insane.
The ruby slippers, and yellow bricks,
The wizard showed us all his magic tricks...

This is simply beautiful. And the meaning behind your words is hidden rather well, yet the point comes across so vividly. I adore how your words paint a picture across the reader's mind as if he or she were standing in the middle of it all. The perception of insanity is easily observed, and the way you weaved in pieces of childhood memories was splendidly brilliant. Well done on this piece. I am struck by your talent in writing poetry. Keep penning. Writing is your calling.

This one gets me thinking. I like the ending the best because you allow the reader to explore his or her mind for an answer. Great write hun :-)
