Help me dear Lord I pray -
As the heart & mind do warfare with each other -
Amid the circumstances of day to day life -
Less money earned & on the job more strife -
As the eyes seem to see more than they need -
The guilty get away through corruption & greed -
While the poor struggle with their basic needs -
More fertile ground to plant the seeds of faith -
It's written hope deferred makes the heart sick -
Another glue that just won't stick -
The economy needs work not just a quick fix -
Because even duct tape looses its best asset -
Like banks that go broke cash the checks but don't pay the note -
Debt they sell to someone else instead of setting the debtor free -
Life is filled with such in depth drama -
But we can fix it all with God's help yes we can -
Thank you God , Jesus, & president Obama -
