Your lips are poisonous -
spun from lies of the immaculate;
I can’t see beyond your eyes.
I haplessly drown askew,
stricken without desire to move.
I can’t breathe, I can’t see
beyond you.

I’ve been here once before
lying under cover on my floor,
overdosed on the false promises you’ve made.
The longer I can’t tear my eyes away,
the more transparent you get everyday.
You can’t hide, you can’t run;
my accusation will tear you down.

Keep that smile off your lips;
I know what you do for pleasure.
Keep that clairvoyance out your eyes;
I know what you do to play this life.

Your tongue is sweet -
it can convince me of self-deceit;
I can’t see beyond your eyes.
You’re the type I abhor,
yet I come back for more.

The gist of the song is supposedly;
"The song is about an ex-girlfriend but it's also tied in with loads of thematic stuff about witches. The idea of the video is that I'm getting possessed and Ed is trying to find me to warn me about 'The White One', who is the witch in question"
