Living in the creeping shadow
we never find the light
Making omens, spouting tomes
we command a vital indifference
Slowly scaling back our effort
yields us just regret
Successively we wait our turn
to comprehend we won’t endure
Author notes
I'm not even sure what exactly inspired this. I have spent a lot of time thinking lately about how we as humans will just be the victims of our own devices...how so many can't even fathom such a thing...it seems like this thought is moving forward but just one person at a time.

"Living in the creeping shadow
we never find the light"
I read these first couple lines over and over in my head, because I just couldn't get over how truly the words rang so true.
