The Things I Cannot Say

It is you who knows better – better than I
Of the deeds I stowed under, and you scrutinised
And though I am wary, I am satisfied
That your view's an unswerving peripheral sleight.
And you will not look further – further than my
Admonishing guilt that I’ve muzzled and tied
So I’m gagged in the silence of the faults you have tried
But I‘m not the assailant you have theorised.
See, it is you who has freedom – in this trouble of mine
To talk as you would of stature and size,
To let the words limber my wrongs and your rights,
And measure the worth of our vanishing time.
It is you who has chosen to characterise,
Yet just scuff at the surface of our flagrant demise -
To hinder the purpose of our gaping divide
For it is you who does nothing – much better than I.

Yo, honestly it seems like you were showing off your vocabulary. I didn't connect with it but it is mature and it makes sense. "so I'm gagged in the silence of the faults you have tried", "but I'm not the assailant you have theorized" are great lines that helped me understand better the poem. Thanks for joining my moresome.
