Good morning butterfly.
I trust you slept well.
Lying there in the cusp of a leaf
Wet with rain water
Your silky wings a patterned quilt
Curled around you
You are a work of art
But then, everyone thinks so.
Will you go out flying today?
I hope you will.
It's such a beautiful morning
What with the jewel flowers blooming
The streams running warm
All your friends
Wanting you to come out to play.
Be careful butterfly
And have fun in the summer sun
Bring me back a flower
Or two.
Take me flying later
If you wish to carry me.
Have a wonderful day.
